An Experience Festival
The festival’s smaller scale gave the weekend a relaxed, community feel

An Experience – Wow what a Gig

This was my first time attending An Experience Festival, and what stood out most was its cosy and intimate atmosphere. Unlike larger festivals, it felt more community-focused, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the weekend at a relaxed pace.

The festival offered a good variety of music across its different areas. Pangea featured samba and world music, while Ruffage focused on jungle, and there were also dub tents with their own distinct sound and atmosphere.

The diversity of genres meant there was always something different to discover, and it catered to a wide range of musical tastes.

One of the strongest aspects of the festival was the people. There was a friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout the site, with many people open to meeting others and sharing the experience. Over the weekend, I met some genuinely lovely people and also spent quality time with friends, creating some memorable moments along the way.

The festival also had a lake and a sauna, which added something different to the overall experience. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to use them because of the weather, but they looked like great additions and are something I would love to try if I return in future years.

Overall, An Experience felt like a well-balanced festival with a strong sense of community, a varied music programme, and a relaxed atmosphere. While it may be smaller than some other festivals, its intimate nature is part of what makes it distinctive, and it provided a memorable first visit.
