Review of Victorious Festival: A Celebration of Music and Community

Victorious Festival, a hightlight of the UK’s festival calendar

Victorious Festival took place on the picturesque Southsea Common in Portsmouth. Once again, it proved to be a highlight of the UK festival calendar this year. The festival had a stunning seaside backdrop and a diverse line-up. Its vibrant atmosphere offered an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all ages.

Line-up and Performances

Watch some of our favourite Victorious Festival Moments

The line-up is always a well-curated mix of established acts and emerging talent, spanning various genres. Previous headliners like Sam Fender and Lewis Capaldi drew massive crowds. They delivered high-energy performances. The audience sang along to every word. Both artists showcased their impressive vocal range. Their stage presence made it clear why they are at the top of their game.  This year featured chart favourites Becky Hill, Tom Walker, and The Sugarbabes. They set the stage on fire with powerful, energetic sets. Despite the weather, the crowds sang and danced with gusto! Not to mention party starter Fatboy Slim’s mesmerizing Friday night headliner, the crowd truly did go completely feral. The stages are well designed and constructed. The sound quality is always superb. Given its location on the open seafront, this is quite something.

The festival featured a plethora of up-and-coming artists along with big names. It created a fantastic platform for new talent. Acts like The Lathums and Cmat brought a refreshing sound and atmosphere, and the crowd clearly enjoyed discovering new favourites. Watch the playlist for some special highlights of this years line-up.

Atmosphere and Amenities

The atmosphere at Victorious is electric, with a sense of camaraderie among attendees. Families, friends, and festivalgoers of all ages come together to celebrate music and community. The festival site is well-organized, with easy access to stages and amenities. More attention to the accessibility platforms would be greatly welcomed. Throughout the weekend, it was a little crowded. Some attendees with additional needs were unable to access the platform, which was disappointing.

Food options are varied and delicious, ranging from comfort foods to vegan delights, catering to all dietary preferences. While queues can be lengthy during peak times, the quality of the food made the wait worthwhile. Plus, the craft beer tents offers a delightful selection of brews, perfect for sipping while enjoying the music.

Family-Friendly Features

One of the standout aspects of Victorious Festival is its family-friendly focus. The dedicated kids’ area features interactive activities, workshops, and performances, ensuring younger attendees have plenty to engage with. Parents appreciate the balance between enjoying the music and knowing their children are safe and entertained.

Final Thoughts

Victorious Festival 2024 successfully blended a stellar line-up, a welcoming atmosphere, and a commitment to community. The stunning coastal setting added to the festival’s charm, making it an ideal destination for a late summer weekend.
